The trigrams come from the Yijing and are credited in legend to Fuxi. The door mirror is the cheapest feng shui remedy there is, chosen and hung by the householder without a master: flat to reflect, convex to scatter, concave to absorb. It goes outside and only outside. Because it works by sending harm back where it came from, angling one at a neighbour is a provocation, and Hong Kong has recorded mirror feuds fought house against house. On Lazada Thailand it sells beside pendant versions of the same diagram, which are worn and are a different object.
