Images of Bo Min Gaung, the most venerated weikza of modern Burmese Buddhism: born near Mount Popa in 1880, died there in 1952. Devotees hold that he did not die as others do, that he bestows dreams, wealth and protection, and his image sits on household altars and travels as a locket. A named being venerated through the object, which is what places it with the devas rather than with Buddha amulets.

ท่านเกิดในเขตจอกปะดอง ใกล้ภูเขาโปปา ปีสุดท้ายของชีวิตท่านดูแลการสร้างเจดีย์ปยีโลนจันตาที่โปปา และมรณภาพที่นั่น รูปของท่านประดิษฐานที่ชเวดากอง ศิษย์เล่าว่าท่านปรากฏในภาพถ่ายของบางคนเท่านั้น ทางไทยไม่มีชื่อเรียกอื่นนอกจากทับศัพท์
Born in Kyaukpadaung Township in 1880, he spent his last years at Mount Popa, oversaw the Pyi Lone Chan Thar Kat Kyaw pagoda there in 1952, and died that September. His statue is enshrined at Shwedagon and his photograph on altars across the country. The tradition tells that he appeared only in photographs taken by certain devotees, and that he could send dreams, wealth and protection. Thai has no name for him beyond the transliteration.
