The treatise gives several recipes. Plait phraek grass into a phirot-headed ring and consecrate it seven times against all weapons; or inscribe a Khom katha on parchment-paper, plait it into the ring, empower it on your own body 108 times and wear it against bows, crossbows and firearms. One band-yantra version is to be made on an auspicious day, best a lunar eclipse, chanted eighteen times so that fangs and tusks are struck still; if a lord is angry, put the ring on and recite the Triple Refuge until it passes. The treatise names the same maker th.wikipedia does — Preceptor Muang of Wat Pradu Rong Tham — and Wikipedia adds the test: finished rings went into a charcoal fire, and only those that did not burn were gilded and given out.
