The treatise never gives waan a recipe of its own because it is in everyone else's: ว่านนางกวัก is carved into a Nang Kwak and put in a money bag; ว่านเพชรน้อย, ว่านเพชรใหญ่ and ว่านเพชรสังฆาต are ground with lodestone and laterite into an invulnerability pellet, or with burnt sacred leaves into a Hanuman; the tiger-waking katha calls on the tubers proh, phlai and lemongrass by name. The market sells it two ways — a living plant in a pot, and a named ingredient inside love-wax, oils and kuman lockets. Some keepers water theirs.
