A turtle cast in the same bronze tradition as the monk figures: its slow, armoured persistence stands for wealth that accumulates and does not stop, and one edition names itself so. The lineage the trade names is Luang Pu Liu Punnako, at Wat Sai Thong Phatthana and then Wat Rai Taeng Thong in Nakhon Pathom, founded 1992, where an 8.1-metre image of the monk seated on the turtle draws people asking for health and long life. Older turtles are traced to Luang Pho Ngoen of Wat Bang Khlan, a claim that lives in issue records, not in the metal.
