A small fired-clay tablet from the cache at Wat Mahawan, Lamphun: a seated Buddha inside a ring of bodhi leaves, the oldest of the Benjaphakhi five. The name means the one who escapes harm. Nobody is home.

ตำนานเล่าว่าสร้างในสมัยหริภุญชัยผูกกับพระนางจามเทวี เจดีย์วัดมหาวันเป็นที่บรรจุ วงการนับเป็นหนึ่งในเบญจภาคีตั้งแต่ตรียัมปวายจัดชุดราว พ.ศ. ๒๔๙๐ เชื่อกันว่าให้แคล้วคลาดและคงกระพัน
The temple's own account ties the tablets to Queen Chamadevi and the Hariphunchai founding; the Wat Mahawan chedi is where they were deposited, and Thai Wikipedia places the making in the late Dvaravati period, older than anything else in the set. Triyampavai's Benjaphakhi of around 1947 put it beside the Somdej, and the trade has read the name as a promise ever since: escape from harm, safe passage, a body that cannot be cut. Genuine pieces are a controlled antiquity; what circulates openly is mostly the form re-pressed.
