Ms 6983 has no luk sakot recipe; it has the function. To subdue, hold the image under the tongue; wrap a rosary in paper and seven turns of a thread the treatise specifies and chant 108 times, and the whole house sleeps; steep a takrut in oil in a bronze bowl with the Trinisinghe formula. The strung lead beads of the modern market take the name of that function. What is on them, and who first strung them, this catalogue cannot cite.
