The older form is a photograph mounted under glass; the free Commons example is a diamond-shaped one of Phra Phimontham (Nak) of Wat Arun dated BE 2475. The modern form is a colour print under clear resin with the reverse packed with sacred powder, hair, robe cloth or a takrut and usually stamped with a code. The trade names the finishes by background — gold or plain — and the large sizes as jumbo.
